Caregiving Research Interest Group (RIG)

The goal of the Caregiving Research Interest Group (RIG) is to support scholars and advance their caregiver research ideas to the next level of development.  Led by Dr. Fayron Epps, Emory Roybal Center’s Behavioral Intervention Development Core Leader, the group meets monthly online to discuss topics and ideas about context-specific dementia caregiver mastery development. This is a group of investigators and a team of like-minded scholars working towards a common goal. Members of the RIG explore how their lines of inquiry might intersect with issues of context-specific caregiving to form questions that can be addressed through behavioral intervention research.  Subject matter experts from industry and university settings will be invited to lead conversations on pre-identified topics. The meetings provide opportunities to identify gaps in behavioral interventions targeted to untargeted caregiving contexts.  The group also provides a platform for investigators to showcase their program of research and serve as a sounding board for members’ developing intervention ideas.  Overall, we expect the RIG to serve as a pipeline for advancing members’ research ideas.
