Molly Perkins is a social gerontologist and medical sociologist. Her research primarily employs mixed methods and qualitative approaches to examine the social, behavioral, and environmental aspects of chronic disease management among a range of older adult populations, including individuals living with dementia and their care partners. Her work includes both observational studies and clinical trials. Much of her recent research focuses on improving care for individuals with advanced dementia and their care partners within context of assisted living settings.
